Size and Measurement of the ChokeFree Shoulder Collar is easy.
Wrap a measuring tape around the pet just behind the front legs. The tape should not be loose or tight and should provide the pet with a comfortable fit. Depending on how the tape is wrapped around the pet, it may be best to select the next size up in order to make sure the ChokeFree Shoulder Collar will be comfortable and not too tight. The Shoulder Collar should be fitted such that the pet does not have enough room to pull out of the collar. ChokeFree sizes match the Circumference of the pet's chest behind the front legs. Measurements taken behind the pet's front legs should allow for a comfortable fit and not be tight. A good rule of thumb is to measure the pet's chest circumference and add an inch to allow for comfort.
